I have a science project on cystic fibrosis and I have a lot of questions to be answered...? - cystic fibrosis fact sheet
I need to know the name of the gene, the gene location, type of transmission of disease, has done studies on it, and two strange facts. I am the lowest, but I want to confirm. Best answer gets 10 points. Thank you! : O)

I do not know how deep they'd want to get into what I tried to keep things simple.
CF gene 1) is on chromosome 7 (is the most common cause is a deletion in the 508th chapter of the chromosome, but there are) other mutations that can cause a person born with CF.
2) is an autosomal recessive trait. Autosomal means that both boys and girls occur. And "recessive" means that he must have inherited a gene with two parents (even if only one gene from one parent carry the gene to a gene and a good father has inherited, has no family in the CF, while a carrier and there are no signs FC).
3) There are a lot of research in the state, particularly in gene therapy, in which they mutated find a way to find the gene to try to repair it. There are also drug research, in order to better help people live fuller and longer.
I do not know its strange facts. If you have two and want to confirm, or if you would like them? If so,Here are a few:
1) There are theories that had the gene for cystic fibrosis even a protection against other diseases such as cholera.
2) Most men born with CF are sterile.
3) It is a life supposedly healthy, live only to discover that they have cystic fibrosis in adulthood (in my work, I knew a woman who discovered that the CF) in the sixties.
4) the youngest son of British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has CF.
Visit the Foundation for Cystic Fibrosis. They have a lot of information that should answer your questions.
